Next Thursday, the lecture will only be available on BBC iPlayer.

BBC Scotland said Minecraft fans will, for the very first time, be able to watch Stampy demonstrate how he creates his videos during a meeting with Dundee games entrepreneur Chris van der Kuyl.

Stampy will tell his story of making his Christmas special , and give an insight into his life.

Van der Kuyl claimed that Stampy was the "epitome digital native of the 21st century" who would inspire audiences regardless of their age.

"Stampy is a source of inspiration for an entire new generation of young people who can clearly see that future careers will rely on a unique mix of talent, creativity, technical and design skills that can be mastered by everyone," he added.

The RSE lecture will be held as part of BBC Make it Digital, an initiative that aims to foster digital creativity among young people.
